Memorial Day

We spent the day relaxing. For lunch we took the kids to a park and had a cold and windy picnic. I didn't get a picture of Jonas because he just wouldn't stay still long enough!

The picture below is looking through the door handle hole into the girls room. We still haven't gotten all of the hardware on everything in the house. This hole is very convenient for me though. I'm often peeking through it to see if Kate's awake or asleep or sometimes just to watch her play and talk to herself. I loved the little feet sticking through out of the crib and thought I'd take a picture today during her nap.

That's actually a really cool picture! Oh to have holes in my son's door to see what in the world he was up to when he's SUPPOSED to be napping!!!

I've been meaning to ask you - I remember you posted a while back that you had made headbands for Ella. You used flannel, right? Did you double layer it and fold in a seam or did you just zig zag the edges together? I found the picture, but couldn't really tell. Also, did you make up your own pattern? My Megan has so little hair right now and I think a headband would be so cute! Also, could you explain again how to make your quilts and maybe even include dimensions and such. I'm not sure if I'll ever get anything like that done, but I am so inspired and would love to get one done one day. I was thinking a red, white, and blue one would be really cool! Thanks! Oh, and a picture of that little sundress would be great! I'm sure it's just precious!

Thanks Beth-- You guys can sure come and play with Rocky if you would like too. He is a pretty sweet little guy but he cries a lot. I love the pic. of you peeking through the doorhole. That is so cute. I love it!
