After long meetings with the pastoral staff, deacons, parents of the teens, and finally any concerned church members Jason is officially on the pastoral staff at Fourth Baptist Church. Tonight especially we miss Josh and Anna in a huge way and never know how we will fill the void they have left, but we're very excited about the opportunity to do ministry on a larger scale here. It's been a long hard 4 years of seminary and anywhere from 40-60 hour work weeks for Jason. We are anxious to begin a new phase of our ministry that will help prepare us for our long term goal of foreign missions. Gaining some years of practical pastoral experience here in the states will give us a greater opportunity someday to train nationals to become pastors in their own country. More than that however, we finally get the chance to do what we have been preparing for for so long.

That is so exciting. We are thrilled for you guys.
Whoa- Beth, It was great to hear from you. I really have been meaning to start a blog, and I guess that will be the only way to keep in touch with every one. I'll send you a link when I get started.
Yeah!! We are excited for you and know that you guys will do a superb job. We will be praying for you!!
Congratulations to our good friends Jason and Beth on this new and exciting ministry! We love you guys and will pray for you through out this transition. We will also be praying for strength for the FINAL weeks of hectic schedules, lack of sleep and minimal family time! We are so thankful for you friendship:)
Jason and Beth,
How exciting to hear of God's great work in your lives. Jason, I have recently heard some great things about the church; what a blessing for you to be on staff.
Beth, your heart of hospitality and servanthood will be a great asset to your husband; God is preparing both of you for an incredible ministry.
Now, if only that church had an opening for a technology person . . .
Just kidding, sort of. Nat and I both sense that God is directing him elsewhere, but we don't know where that is yet. Please pray for us; these are trying times for us as a couple, but it is teaching us to communicate and to love in both good times and the rough times. We are seeking God's will with our whole hearts; I trust that we will be listening to hear His voice for our future.
Love you both so much, and Nat and I are excited for you.

PS: I am proudly displaying the pictures of my great niece and nephew on wallpaper at work! :-)
Congratulations to you guys! What a great ministry to be a part of. Where did Josh and Anna move on to?
Beth-
Congratulations on being a youth pastor's wife. You will be great, but I must warn you that teenagers make you feel... old! By the way, did you hear that we're going to the bush or somewhere far far away together! I can't wait. I can't think of better friends to do it with!

Great news! We're so happy for you guys - and for Fourth. It is amazing to think of how God has been working in your lives over the past 4 years (and before that too) to bring you to this place! Who would have thought? Well, it is the first thing a few of us thought when the position became available, so it's a very natural fit. We miss being there! We love you guys - we pray for you regularly.

Glad to hear it is offical. I know you all will do a great job, but I am not naive enough to think it will be an easy ministry to fulfill. Mark and I are excited for you family and look forward to hearing and learning form you all! I am doing great...finally look a little pregnant and am starting to get a little irritable. I hate that part, but I love the fact that things will be progressing soon and we will be holding little titus in less than 6 weeks. Talk with you soon! Anne
congratulations...i hadn't heard. i just found out josh and anna were leaving (so sad), but i am thrilled that you guys are the new youth pastor now. you will do an incredible job. hopefully we will see you around sometime.

Congrats on the new position...we were kind of holding out for a church in Chattanooga, though. We sure do miss you guys. Beth, Ketner's Mill is this weekend. We wish you were here! Love ya!
