Kitchen bench project

I am super claustrophobic in our kitchen eating area!!!!  It's small and with 5 people and chairs and booster seat and highchair it gets crowded!  We've had plans for awhile to build some kind of a booth or corner bench to help with seating.  The in and out of the chairs takes up too much space.  Since Justin was here this summer we put him to work!  I didn't take any pictures of him, but he actually built the bench and started painting it before he left.  Jason sanded it as smooth as silk (he took his job very seriously!)  I finished painting it and then Jason carried it in in pieces and assembled it.  He took that job very seriously too.  If we have a tornado here I think our family is going to hide under the bench (forget the basement!).  It's not going anywhere!  It's screwed together and to the floor in a hundred places!  We are very pleased with it.  It does solve the problems with space.  There are crates underneath for storage and the whole table is on those magic slider things so it can easily be pushed to the corner of the room and out of the way when we are not eating.  I don't have great before and after pics, but here are a few of the process.
