I would love to hear everyone's great Christmas gift ideas for the grandparents this year. Our kids have 4 sets of great-grandparents and 2 sets of grandparents. I've done the home-made handprint things before, and picture calendars. So, just what do you get people who mean so much to you, but don't really need anything? Is this an issue at everyone's house every year or do I not plan ahead and then get panicked at the last minute?

I got my stepdad a personalized decal for his car window that has a fish and says "Pepaw's Fishin Team" because he and Lake are fishin buddies. It was relatively inexpensive and you can have any artwork or wording put on them. (i wouldn't go with the average #1 grandpa, but something personal is pretty cute.) Pepaw loved his.
You might try to put together some video clips and pics on a dvd or something. I know you take a lot of pictures so that may not be to difficult if you have a program on your computer. Or the good old fashioned tape with the kiddos singing and talking always is a hit. Well, let us know if you hit on the perfect gift idea.

check out kodakgallery.com I don't know what the budget is, but you can upload pictures and make them into all sorts of stuff i.e. coffee mugs, mouse pads, coasters, etc. I know it sounds a little cheesy, but grandparents really do love the pictures -- and you can have it directly shipped to them :)
Beth,
This summer I went on a garden tour and saw the neatest gift idea. A grandmother had these slate stones in her garden. They were painted/decorated representing each grandchild. She said her daughter painted a design on each one, and then added the child's handprint with name and date painted on. They were really neat. Of course, this could pose a problem if shipping is required! Could get kind of pricey! I have a picture of it on my computer...I'll email it to you when I get a chance!
oops...i don't have your email address. could you zip it off to me at irishmomma14@verizon.net. [that's if you want the pic]
Great post idea. I've enjoyed seeing everyone else's ideas, because we too come up short a lot of times. I made a Grandma "brag" book for Stephen's mom with scrapbook materials. It was cute, fun, and cheap.
Thanks everyone! This is great. I'll have to pick your brains a lot more! Great ideas. Hopefully this benefited everyone.
those were really good ideas.
